EXCLUSIVE: Rod Stewart releases heart-rending new video for single It's Over as he gears up to launch album of new material
Although he's one of Britain's best known rock stars, he hasn't released an entire album of new material for almost 20 years.
But that's all about to change next month when Rod Stewart's album Time hits the shelves, made up entirely of new tracks.
The 68-year-old has just released the glossy new video for single It's Over, proving that the rocker certainly hasn't lost his touch when it comes to song-writing.

The self-penned and self-produced track, about divorce and separation, marks Rod's return to his musical best and is as haunting and gritty as his previous work.
In recent years, the musical legend has turned his vocal talents to a number of Songbook albums, in which he takes on some of the best known tracks of recent years.
But a burst of inspiration has driven Rod back to writing, and the result is his first record of new material for nearly two decades, released on May 6.

The landmark release sees the singer revisit his love of honest narrative and storytelling, for which he gained such a strong fan-base in the 1970s.
Rod has admitted that writing his recent autobiography, Rod, inspired him to throw himself back into song-writing:
'Something about that process of reviewing my life for the book reconnected me and that was it: I was away. Suddenly ideas for lyrics were piling up in my head,' he said.
'Next thing I knew, I had a song called ‘It’s Over’ about divorce and separation. And now I was getting up in the middle of the night and scrambling for a pen to write things down, which has never happened to me,' he added.
Rod has worked with his photographer wife Penny Lancaster for his album artwork, who has shot the promo photo for the new single.
