A midtown perfume retailer was sued last week for allegedly hawking fake Justin Bieber perfumes.
Bieber's real perfume sells for $45 a bottle. At Jack's Perfume on Broadway near Madison Square Garden, consumers were paying that price for fake renditions, according to court papers.
The city is asking the courts to order Jack's to stop selling counterfeit Bieber fragrances.

The city filed a lawsuit last week against Jack Perfume, aiming to shut down the Midtown shop after police busted it for hawking fake Justin Bieber scents over the past year.
Police Officer Daniel Halloran of the 14th Precinct says in an affidavit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court that he observed undercover informants making seven purchases of fake Bieber perfume between last September and January.
In February, Halloran said, the NYPD executed a search warrant of Jack's, which turned up 39 bottles of counterfeit perfume. Two people were arrested and charged with trademark counterfeiting.
Bieber has come out with three perfumes since 2011: Someday, Girlfriend and The Key. Elizabeth Arden bought the rights to Someday in 2012.
