What do you get if you cross Alexa Chung with Italian trainer brand Superga, a photographer, and a trip to Miami?
The answer is Superga's spring/summer campaign: a retro photoshoot with a laidback vibe that is unmistakeably Alexa.
The model, who starred in the successful centennial year campaign for the brand, which last year celebrated 100 years since Walter Martiny founded in in 1911), was enlisted by Superga to creative direct their 2012 campaign, with the only instruction being to 'go create'.
Carefree: Alexa creative directed the spring/summer Superga shoot, which has a laidback, vintage vibe
So she jumped on a plane with renowned snapper Guy Aroch and let loose in Miami.
The resulting photos, with their faded colours and vintage vibe, are a lighthearted celebration of summer, and of course Superga.
Alexa loafs about in her inimitable way, in a vintage car, her Superga-clad feet resting on the dashboard, perched on a wall, or, our favourite, lying in bed using her black Superga as a phone.
Alexa chose the 2750 sneakers for the shoot - a design predominantly unchanged since its first release in 1925 - which she teamed with all her own clothes.
What we wouldn't give for a rifle through that wardrobe.
